On behalf of the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) and the State of California, the California Telehealth Network (CTN) will create a sustainable, statewide, broadband network providing California communities with access to a wide range of telehealth and eHealth services.  The CTN is expected to server over 800 health care providers throughout the state of California and will enable participants to take advantage of federally subsidized, low-cost, high-speed broadband offered by the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC's) Rural Health Care Pilot Program (RHCPP). Additional funding sources are being pursued that would bring the number of CTN sites to 2000.

California Telehealth Network (CTN) Interim Director - University of California Job Description
The Interim Director of the California Teleheath Network (CTN) will be engaged by the University of California (UC) on contract for a period of six months to provide overall executive leadership and management for CTN during which time a new public-private partnership 501(c)(3) non-profit governing entity is being established for CTN.  This position reports to the Chairs of the Interim CTN Advisory Board (Associate Vice President Cathryn Nation and Associate Vice Chancellor Tom Nesbitt).  The incumbant is also accountable to the CTN Interim Advisory Board.  The Interim Executive will be directly responsible for specific work products and deliverables as well as overall organizational management.

This position is currently a 1-year employment contract with the opportunity for an extended appointment dependent on funding models.  UC Davis Health System, under the Center for Health & Technology (CHT), is the current fiscal and operational lead agency on this state-wide project.
