California More Connected, But Digital Divide Persists

Although the number of Californians with home computers and broadband Internet continues to grow, few Latino families have high speed Web access at home. A survey by the Public Policy Institute of California finds only 39 percent of Latinos subscribe to some kind of broadband Internet service. That’s compared to three quarters of whites and Asians and 62 percent of blacks.
