Frontier Partnership Grants
Frontier Digital Access Project

This Grant supports the participation of Partners in Education (PIE) in the partnership between California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) and Frontier Communications, Inc. to increase awareness and adoptions to help meet the CETF program goal of 50,000 adoptions by 2021.  The $18,000 grant awarded in July 2016 is designed to achieve 300 adoptions. PIE will achieve 300 adoptions among low-income households in collaboration with its partners in the Frontier service area. PIE is also managing the computing device distribution to families that have established a new home Internet subscription.  PIE, in Santa Barbara, has worked to bridge the Digital Divide for the last 19 years.  It collaborates with local schools, businesses and organizations to identify low-income families, primarily Spanish-speaking, in need of a computer and home, Internet service, or both. PIE has served more than 10,000, primarily Spanish speaking.
