Opinion: San Diego Shows How Highway Projects Can Be Leveraged to Close the Digital Divide

Broadband and highways are common-sense companions.

Recently, Caltrans, the San Diego Association of Governments, San Diego County, and the California Transportation Commission joined forces to help close the digital divide, allocating $7 million for installation of Internet fiber in conjunction with a scheduled pavement rehabilitation project along State Route 67.
